Its customers primarily include commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential customers; other waste management companies; electric utilities; and governmental entities. The company was incorporated as USA Waste Services, Inc. in 1987 and changed its name to Waste Management, Inc. in 1998. Waste Management, Inc. is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
